Thunderclap,
Electronic Arts has just announced the closing of the Visceral Games studio, even as it has been developing a new Star Wars game for several months now.
The game obviously does not correspond to EA's vision of what a game should be like nowadays: "Our studio Visceral develops a title of action-adventure in the universe of Star Wars. was announced as a linear adventure game based on a story.
Throughout the development process, we have tested the concept of gambling with players, listened to their comments on what they want and how they want to play, and closely follow the fundamental changes in the marketplace. It became clear that to provide an experience that will make players want to come back and enjoy it for a long time, we had to rotate the design. We will keep stunning visuals, authenticity in the Star Wars universe and focus on bringing a Star Wars story to life.
It is important to note that we are transforming the game into a wider experience that allows for greater variety and variety of actors, building on the capabilities of our Frostbite engine and reinventing the core elements of the game. " The game will be entrusted to another development team, under the supervision of the EA Vancouver studio, which has already worked on the project. Logically, this new title will not be released in the next fiscal year (2019) and will therefore be postponed to a later date, unspecified at this time.
The editor says he will reclassify as many Visceral employees as possible in his other studios.
